My approach to therapy is eclectic, collaborative and tailored to each individual client’s needs; as such I utilize techniques and interventions from various different therapeutic approaches. I believe that the key to long-term change is discovering and working through pain, traumas and disappointments from the past, which are things that we all experience on our life journeys and that can hold us back without our even realizing it.
So while acquiring concrete coping skills to deal with and manage current symptoms is an important part of therapy, I believe that the development of insight into the underlying dynamics of unhealthy patterns in relationships and ways of dealing with life is truly the key to changing these behaviors, creating the lives that we want and maintaining lasting satisfaction and inner peace.
