Thank you for visiting my website and your interest in my services. I am a licensed psychotherapist with a private practice in the Streeterville area of downtown Chicago, directly across the street from the renowned Northwestern Memorial Hospital. I have more than 10 years experience in the mental health field providing therapy and counseling to individuals with a variety of psychological and emotional disorders. I received my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from the University of Illinois at Chicago, and completed advanced clinical training in psychodynamic theory and psychotherapy at the Institute for Clinical Social Work in Chicago. Prior to entering private practice I had the good fortune to be able to develop my clinical skills in very challenging environments including outpatient community mental health, hospice programs, hospitals, nursing homes, and residential and group home settings. My clinical specialties include anxiety disorders, life transitions (i.e., mid- and quarter-life, job loss, divorce, career change, entering the work force, “empty-nesters”, etc.), stress management, spiritual transition and crisis, grief and bereavement/end of life issues, and women’s issues. I have had a lifelong interest in and passion for the study of human behavior and the practice of psychotherapy, and I gain immense fulfillment from this challenging and rewarding field. I feel very fortunate to have the opportunity to live my dream every day, and I look forward to connecting with you and traveling with you on your road to self-discovery and happiness.
